Το πάνελ εστιάζει στο παρόν και στο μέλλον της σκηνής, αποφεύγοντας τη νοσταλγική προσέγγιση.

Music, time and the act of creating and listening in contemporary music

What does it mean to create and to listen in a time of constant output, speed and noise?

At the centre is Charles Uzor, whose work approaches music as a space shaped by time, memory and perception, moving across cultures and traditions while remaining grounded in a personal approach to composition.

Bringing together perspectives from different creative fields, the session moves between sound, image and meaning. How do ideas take shape today? What does it mean to listen, rather than simply consume? And how can creative practice hold its depth in an environment defined by immediacy?

Let’s take a step back to the deeper processes behind creation, recognising music as output while also considering it as a way of thinking and experiencing the world.

Το ελληνικό ραδιόφωνο καταδυναστεύεται από playlists. Η μουσική δημοσιογραφία συρρικνώνεται. Οι μεγάλες πλατφόρμες δίνουν προτεραιότητα σε ό,τι ήδη γνωρίζουν. Κι όμως, κάποιοι βγάζουν δίσκους, τους πουλάνε, χτίζουν κοινό και όχι μόνο επιβιώνουν αλλά συχνά ανθίζουν, εκτός του συστήματος.

Τα μέλη του πάνελ, έχοντας φορέσει διάφορα καπέλα της ανεξάρτητης μουσικής βιομηχανίας μοιράζονται εργαλεία, λάθη και στρατηγικές από την πράξη: πώς δομείς ένα release plan χωρίς mainstream στήριξη, πώς αξιοποιείς Bandcamp, social media, record stores και live σκηνή ως εναλλακτικό οικοσύστημα, και πού βρίσκεται σήμερα η πραγματική προσοχή του κοινού που αξίζει να κερδίσεις.

Για καλλιτέχνες, labels και κοινότητες που αρνούνται να περιμένουν την άδεια κανενός για να κυκλοφορήσουν μουσική που έχει σημασία.

Η μουσική συνδέεται με την έκφραση και τη δημιουργική ελευθερία, όμως υπάρχει και μια πλευρά της καλλιτεχνικής εμπειρίας που συχνά μένει αθέατη: ένα τοπίο με πιέσεις, προκλήσεις και αντιφάσεις.

Καλλιτέχνες και επαγγελματίες του χώρου εκφράζονται κυρίως μέσα από το έργο τους· πιο σπάνια όμως μιλούν για τη βιωματική διάσταση της επαγγελματικής τους πραγματικότητας.

Η συζήτηση φέρνει κοντά διαφορετικές φωνές του μουσικού οικοσυστήματος, ανοίγοντας έναν διάλογο για το πώς βιώνεται η πίεση μέσα από διαφορετικούς ρόλους και διαδρομές – από την έκθεση και την απόδοση έως τις απαιτήσεις, τις συνθήκες εργασίας και την αβεβαιότητα – εξερευνώντας την πολυπλοκότητα της μουσικής εμπειρίας, όχι για να δώσει εύκολες απαντήσεις, αλλά κυρίως για να φωτίσει όσα τείνουν να μένουν πίσω από τα φώτα της σκηνής.

It looks at how funding works in practice, from travel and international collaboration to project development, partnerships and cross-sector work. What these programmes are there to support, what they expect in return, and how to approach them in a realistic and achievable way.

Designed for artists, collectives and emerging professionals, it offers a clearer starting point for turning ideas into funded activity and connecting with opportunities across Europe.

Η διαρκής επιστροφή της σύγχρονης μουσικής στις ρίζες της: νοσταλγία ή εξέλιξη;

Το ερώτημα δεν είναι απλώς αν πρόκειται για ένα revival, αλλά αν αυτές οι επιρροές έφυγαν ποτέ ή αν αποτελούν μια σταθερή βάση πάνω στην οποία συνεχίζει να χτίζεται η σκηνή. Σε μια περίοδο όπου η έννοια του «μέλλοντος» μοιάζει να ανακυκλώνεται μέσα από ήδη υπάρχοντα σχήματα, η συζήτηση εστιάζει στη σχέση μεταξύ τεχνολογίας, νοσταλγίας και επανάληψης, θέτοντας το ερώτημα αν η μουσική εξέλιξη προχωρά γραμμικά ή αν κινείται κυκλικά στο χρόνο.

Stories in motion: How narratives shape culture, society and the future

Stories do not sit still. They move across film, music, immersive work and public discourse, shaped as much by how they are experienced and shared as by those who create them.
How do stories travel, and what do they do once they arrive? As narratives move between audiences, platforms and public debate, they begin to shape perception, frame issues and influence how people relate to each other and to the world around them.

From social cohesion and civic participation to environmental awareness and responsibility, the session considers how storytelling can support more conscious ways of thinking and acting, and how it connects creative practice with wider questions about the kind of future we are building.

At the centre of the conversation is Oliver Czeslik, an award-winning creator working across XR, theatre and film. His work spans internationally staged plays, including productions directed by Philip Seymour Hoffman, feature films, and award-winning immersive projects, with performances at leading venues such as Schaubühne and Volksbühne Berlin.
