EXHALETHEMIST is a versatile artist based in Athens with smooth raps, melodic beats, and aesthetics inspired by life and the global hip-hop scene. Black Athena are a DJ duo, a radio show and more recently a record label, conceived in and around the centre of Athens during the first decade of the millennium. The Black Athena philosophy is as much about the local as it is about the global. In an underground music field that increasingly is about A&Ring music directly from the internet and creating labels spearheaded by artists already accepted as “cool”, Black Athena is all about having a personal ‘real’ connection with the artists, helping develop them and putting them on a global stage. In a country that has been plagued by uncertainty and financial instability, Black Athena believe that it is paramount to put young people at the forefront and help them succeed through their creativity and love for music. Their recipe is the same across all the media they work with: black music, past present and future. The sound of Black Athena is as much about the sound of contemporary US rap as expressed by Kendrick Lamar, Drake and A$ap Rocky, as it is about the Deep House blueprint of Moodymann and Theo Parrish. It is as much about Wiley, Skepta and D Double E as it is about Prince, Marvin Gaye, Prince Jammy & Chic. Saying that they wouldn’t even have second thoughts about releasing or playing an unheard 1970s Synth record, or an 80s New Wave band. Music is music, and they love good music!

Ο αιώνιος έφηβος Solmeister επιστρέφει, στην πιο γόνιμη φάση της μέχρι στιγμής πορείας του.

Με το “Cool Kids Never Die” του 2016 να έχει σημαδέψει μια ολόκληρη γενιά εφήβων, “Το Χάρτινο Βασίλειο” του 2019, ως μία πολυδιάστατη ροκ όπερα, να τον βρίσκει σε μία βαθιά σκεπτόμενη διαδικασία, διαφοροποίησης και πειραματισμού, και το πιο πρόσφατο “Τα Λέμε Στην Κόλαση” να κάνει μια βουτιά και πάλι στις emo ρίζες του, ο Solmeister μοιάζει να βρίσκεται σε παροξυσμό έμπνευσης και δημιουργίας.

Πέραν των δικών του μουσικών εξορμήσεων, ο Solmeister συνυπογράφει στιχουργικά, μουσικά και σε επίπεδο παραγωγής τα τραγούδια του WNCfam, και της ανερχόμενης pop star Marseaux, που φέτος κυκλοφορέι τον δεύτερο σε σειρά προσωπικό της δίσκο, με τίτλο “Chica”, συνοδεύοντάς τον ταυτόχρονα σε μέρος των καλοκαιρινών εμφανίσεών του, μαζί με το υπόλοιπο crew.

DPBD (TR)

Ο Barış Demirel ξεκίνησε να παίζει μουσική το 2011 με το όνομα Barıştık Mı. Με το συγκρότημά του κυκλοφόρησε δύο άλμπουμ. Το πρώτο άλμπουμ με τίτλο T.E.A.R. κυκλοφόρησε το 2015 και το δεύτερο άλμπουμ FAIL PLAY κυκλοφόρησε το 2018. Από τότε έχει πραγματοποιήσει εμφανίσεις σε εγχώρια και διεθνή φεστιβάλ τζαζ στην Ολλανδία, τη Γερμανία, το Βέλγιο, την Αγγλία, την Ελβετία. Το 2019 προσκλήθηκε να εμφανιστεί στο Montreux Jazz Festival. Έχει συνεργαστεί με πολλούς καλλιτέχνες από διαφορετικά μουσικά είδη όπως hip hop, rap, jazz, pop και electronic.

Το άλλο μισό του DPBD είναι ο Da Poet, ένας από τους πιο επιτυχημένους και παραγωγικούς MCs στην Τουρκία. Είναι παραγωγός, beatmaker και ράπερ. Αφού κυκλοφόρησε πολλά άλμπουμ και έκανε πολλές συνεργασίες, δημιούργησε μαζί με τον Baris Demirel το ντουέτο DPBD, με ήχο που μεταπηδά και μπλέκει πολλά μουσικά είδη, όπως η rap, το hip hop, η funk, το lo-fi και η dub. Αυτή η μοναδική συνεργασία μεταξύ ενός ράπερ και ενός τρομπετίστα είναι ιδιαίτερα ξεχωριστό γεγονός!

Saske (GR)

Ο εικοσιτριάχρονος Saske είναι ένας από τους νεώτερους εκπροσώπους του ελληνικού hip-hop. Μέσα σε λιγότερο από μια πενταετία δισκογραφικής παρουσίας έχει καταφέρει ήδη να κυκλοφορήσει δύο διπλά πλατινένια (Ξέρω Μάνα, Cyan) δύο πλατινένια (GOGO, NANA) και τέσσερα χρυσά singles (Χόρεψε Μαζί Μου, Κύμα, Sportex, Seri) ενώ ο πρώτος του προσωπικός δίσκος με τίτλο ” Saskepticism vol. 1 ” έγινε χρυσός. Η μουσική του χαρακτηρίζεται από έντονα πειραματικά στοιχεία αναμειγμένα με κλασσικές rap αναφορές. Κάθε του κυκλοφορία αναζητά την καινοτομία σε εικόνα και ήχο ενώ ήδη δουλεύει πυρετωδώς για το δεύτερο προσωπικό του άλμπουμ.
