He is also the host of the session series \u201cUrban live sounds\u201d (ERT), which features young artists from the domestic music scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n On one side of the ocean, there is Latin America. The earth is intense and full of magic. On the other side, there is Paris and Belleville. A pluriculural, urban, and modern earth. Through her music, La Chica reunites these two worlds, presenting a collage of textures and sounds, ingrained from her traditional heritage and in ux of modern infuences, breaking all modern social standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n She created her universe around the piano and keyboard, naturally mixing her inspiration of the classics, her love of Debussy, and the profoundness of the pages of analogical synths.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Without a mask, this French\/Venezuelian artist transmits a brusque state of emotion, something between abstract thoughts and introspective poetry. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Alkyone is a multifaceted artist hailing from the picturesque mountains of Northern Greece. As a singer, songwriter, and musician, she navigates seamlessly between Greek and English languages, blending indie pop, cinematic, and folk elements into her unique musical tapestry. Drawing from her experience as a former choir member, Alkyone infuses her compositions with haunting choral arrangements, tapping into the primal and potent essence of collective voices. Barrice is a singer and songwriter, but the huge success came with the production he did in recent years on big names in urban music, rappers and pop singers. 2023 was his year for many reasons. He is largely responsible for the success of Lila (the most successful female singer in 2023 in Greece), Sidarta, Rack, \"1111\", Toquel's excellent album and many others \u2013 in all of which he appears as Beyond. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Barrice has managed to create a sound that is his own and recognizable, and that's quite an achievement, especially in an era where everyone is borrowing sounds and styles from abroad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her musical journey began in childhood, inspired by her father's love for folklore music. Learning to play the piano alongside him, she eventually pursued formal training, earning a degree in classical piano. However, it wasn't until later in life that she embraced her own songwriting prowess, crafting introspective and evocative pieces that echo her deep connection with nature and birds, a theme that also inspired her stage name.
Alkyone's performances are a fusion of her original compositions and innovative arrangements of traditional Greek songs. She has graced stages alongside esteemed musicians like Maria Farantouri and Thanasis Papakonstantinou, captivating audiences across Greece and Europe with her distinct musical vision.
In May 2023, Alkyone unveiled her debut full length album, \"Exit Sign,\" which garnered widespread acclaim for its artistry and emotive depth. Beyond the realm of entertainment, Alkyone sees music as a catalyst for change, fervently believing in its capacity to shape ideas and influence the world at large.
