However, the ongoing and emerging trend of buyout agreements, the unilateral enforcement of buyout clauses, and related practices undermine the rule of law and threaten the continued creation of music.
As the digital era gives way to the age of AI, we increasingly hear the voices of authors and performers calling for concrete protective measures. This presentation will explore the impact of buyouts with the aim of highlighting current challenges and amplifying the need for reform.

Eva Moustaka is a Counsellor-at-Law specializing in Copyright & Related \u2013 Rights Law. She
had graduated magna cum laude from the Law School of Athens and summa cum laude from
the Hellenic International University, holding a Master in Art, Law & Economy. She is
currently a PhD Candidate at the Law School of Athens.
Since 2017, she is collaborating with the Hellenic Copyright Organization (HCO), providing
also her legal services in terms of the operation of the Committee for the Notification of
Copyright and Related Rights Infringements (EDPPI).
Her contributions in collective works, as well as her scientific articles focusing on copyright
law, as well as in cultural \u2013 property law had been published both in Greece and abroad (in
Greek, English and French), while she had been also the annual contributor for Greece to the
Kluwer Copyright Law Smart Charts.
She focuses on copyright and related rights\u2019 law in both practical and research terms. She
further deals with Intellectual Property law in general, as well as with new technologies. In
particular, she deals, among others, with copyright protection and licensing agreements, as
well as with infringement issues. Within the framework of collaboration with the HCO, she
had been engaged in legislative preparatory work, while she had represented Greece before
the EU bodies and WIPO.
Lastly, she had participated as a speaker in numerous educational and raising \u2013 awareness
seminars, as well as in scientific conferences, while she had undertaken joint missions in
twining programs as a copyright expert.
