He has been working in music and creative cultures since 1990, moving between festivals, project development and community-based initiatives. He has directed more than 50 festivals, curated cultural and corporate events, and introduced over 15,000 talents to the public, always with a focus on inclusion, innovation and human connections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He is currently an operational Senior Advisor based in Bari, Southern Italy, an Executive Board Member of the Federation of Music Conferences, and Creative Senior Advisor for Open Sound Festival (Matera, Italy). He is also co-founder of ASCOLTO \u2013 Music Communities Festival, a project exploring the relationship between music, territories and communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Throughout his career, he has founded and led platforms such as Elita, Design Week Festival and Linecheck \u2013 Music Meeting and Festival, and co-founded the Italian Music Festivals Association. He has served as board member and general manager at MIH S.p.A., with responsibility for Heroes Festival, and contributed to European projects including Jump, Keychange, AMP and SANE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mark Dieler, Latvian-Sicily based German-Italian from Ranco (Italy), has been working internationally since 1998, of which 10+ years spent on the African continent. \u2028With a background of activism and interest in social change, he has worked on numerous projects between hospitality and events involving both underground and top-tier artists and locations.
Due to the decade spent in East Africa he has a particular interest in the continent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He continues working on networking projects, producing events, tours and residencies, cooperates with organisations such as In Place of War, Tallinn Music Week, Sicily Music Conference, Trans Europe Halles, Dirty Deal Audio, Cindy&Kate, Lona Musik, Paavli Kultuurivabrik and others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A current focus is the establishment of an artist residency space in Sicily, where he spends as much time as possible with a particular interest on island and mediterranean music ecosystems as well as collaborative projects and circular economy. In cooperation with likeminded projects he co-founded AMARI - a network of rural mediterranean residencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
