This opening panel brings together voices from public institutions, European networks and industry to explore how cultural and creative industries, with music at the centre, are emerging as a strategic driver of intellectual property, investment and growth across Europe.<\/p>

As music increasingly intersects with audiovisual, technology and gaming, it becomes a key engine for value creation and cross-sector innovation. The discussion focuses on how this momentum can evolve from fragmented initiatives into more coordinated, investment-ready frameworks.<\/p>

With a focus on Greece and Southeast Europe, the panel examines how the region can position itself more strategically within the European landscape, and how stronger collaboration across networks can unlock investment, support IP development and accelerate growth.<\/p>

Involved for two decades in different fields and positions of the Music ecosystem (Co-Founder of Kosmos Radio 93.6, e-Terra Records and Van Dog Events), Georges has produced dozens of special events (for TV shows, Music Awards, Olympic Games) and has participated in numerous European Music Projects (HEMI Music Innovation Hub<\/a>, JUMP- European Music Market Accelerator, European Live Music Association).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He is the Founder of the \u201cEuropean Music Day\u201d organizers network, the Founder and Artistic Director of the Athens Music Week, the co-founder of Music Tech Europe Association<\/a> and an Executive Board member of the Federation of Music Conferences<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He is a partner of Music Tech Europe Academy<\/a> programme and of the newly born project SONIC \u201cStrategic Opportunities for New Innovative Changes in Music Policies\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anna Z\u00f2 is leading the Agenda on Innovation of the Italian social enterprise Music Innovation Hub, responsible of MusicTech-related activities, project leader of the EU-funded acceleration program for music startups Music Tech Europe Academy and Director of Linecheck Music Meeting and Festival. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Co-founder and President of Music Tech Europe Network, Anna is part of the team that has developed the new BA\/BSc in Music Business at SAE Institute Milan, where she is also active as Lecturer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With a strong focus on CCIs and a business background (Master Graduate in CCIs Management), she has also been managing projects in different cultural fields, such as visual arts (in London) and cinema (in Paris).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Leonidas Christopoulos took over as Chief Executive Officer of EKKOMED in September 2024 while from 2023 to 2024 he held the position of President and CEO of EKOME. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He was the Secretary General of Digital Governance and Simplification of Procedures of the Ministry of Digital Governance, from July 2019 to July 2023, and had EKOME under his supervision. During this period, significant improvements were made to the cash rebate scheme for audiovisual works in Greece, while the Tax Relief incentive was reactivated, and the Fund of Guaranteeing Loan for Companies Producing Audiovisual Work was established, in collaboration with the Development Bank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moreover, he was responsible for planning and implementing Greece\u2019s digital strategy through the Digital Transformation Bible, the strategy for Artificial Intelligence and digital skills, the new Operational Program \u201cDigital Transformation\u201d of the NSRF 2021-2027, the upgrading of KEP and the policy for the simplification and digitalization of procedures through Gov.gr and the National Register of Mitos Procedures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He has worked in the Ministries of Development, Finance, Education and Religious Affairs, Environment and Energy and Interior, while in the period 2016-2019 he was an advisor to the President of the Official Opposition on issues of State, Public Administration and Education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He holds a BSc. in Political and International Studies from Panteion University of Political and Social Studies, Athens, and an M.A. in International Political Economy from the University of Warwick, United Kingdom, where he studied Political Economy of Mass Media. He is, also, a graduate of the National School of Public Administration and Local Government of Greece.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Robert Meijerink, is Head of European Bookings at ESNS, Eurosonic Noorderslag, the European conference & showcase platform in Groningen, the Netherlands taking place every year in January. Robert is also involved with projects such as European Talent Exchange, MME Awards, Music Dialogues and is Founder and President of Federation of Music Conferences. Last but not least, he is a huge music lover.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ESNS is the key exchange and network platform for European Music and the one and only showcase event in Europe, focused on emerging acts from Europe. ESNS attracts over 4000 delegates, including more than 400 international festivals and venues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During four nights around 300 acts present themselves to an international audience of professionals, media and music lovers. Based in Berlin, he is leading a group of companies involved in the professionalization and the financing of 4 main creative pillars: Audiovisual, Video Game, Music and Fashion tech. Media Deals is a pan European network of investors with a strong focus on the creative sector. In the last 2 years, he has been involved in many public policy related to financing in Europe and has been investing in many startups in particular in Music publishing, Music tech and gaming studios.
