After more than 20 years in journalism, serving as an editor for leading media groups (DOL, Alpha, ANT1, etc.), I transitioned into corporate and political communication, specializing in Media Relations\u2014including the setup and management of press offices\u2014and served as Head of Communications for theatres, football clubs, and political parties. In 2023, I moved into music production, working in Press and Communications for major live shows, including Coldplay, Rammstein, Sting, and more. I accepted EKKOMED\u2019s proposal because it came with a clear vision: to strengthen Greece\u2019s role in audiovisual production and elevate its international footprint. I share that vision\u2014and through my work, I aim to contribute to positioning Greece as a competitive player not only in audiovisual creativity, but also in the international festival and live music landscape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ultimately, the aim is clear and forward-looking: to help build a Greece that is not only a beautiful backdrop, but a true creative hub\u2014a country that produces, hosts, and exports culture with confidence, consistency, and international impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He has been working in music and creative cultures since 1990, moving between festivals, project development and community-based initiatives. He has directed more than 50 festivals, curated cultural and corporate events, and introduced over 15,000 talents to the public, always with a focus on inclusion, innovation and human connections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He is currently an operational Senior Advisor based in Bari, Southern Italy, an Executive Board Member of the Federation of Music Conferences, and Creative Senior Advisor for Open Sound Festival (Matera, Italy). He is also co-founder of ASCOLTO \u2013 Music Communities Festival, a project exploring the relationship between music, territories and communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Throughout his career, he has founded and led platforms such as Elita, Design Week Festival and Linecheck \u2013 Music Meeting and Festival, and co-founded the Italian Music Festivals Association. He has served as board member and general manager at MIH S.p.A., with responsibility for Heroes Festival, and contributed to European projects including Jump, Keychange, AMP and SANE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Maria Daphne Papadopoulou is currently the Acting Director of the Hellenic Copyright Organization. She is a member in many copyright and IP committees, and a national expert in groups for copyright and IP. She has an extensive law drafting experience (including the majority of copyright directives and recently the DSA Regulation); she has also drafted the relevant framework for the national copyright anti-piracy system (Article 66E Law 2121\/1993 and the pertinent ministerial decisions), while she is actively involved in the function and the supervision of the Greek Committee for the Notification of Copyright and Related Rights Infringement on the Internet (EDPPI). She is an author of numerous contributions in books and articles (in Greek, English and German), has presented many papers in national and international conferences and gives lectures on copyright issues. As co-founder of Icon Music and Stay Independent, he played a key role in the transition of the Greek music market into the digital era and in establishing Spotify\u2019s presence in Greece. Through his work, approximately 50 artists have been supported both locally and internationally, achieving placements in Spotify\u2019s global debut charts as well as significant commercial success, including diamond and platinum singles and albums.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

community engagement.
Andreas\u2019s life is a blended mix of a music and business studies career. He holds two
University degrees: one in Financial and Banking Management and another in
European and International Studies. He also has an MBA with a dissertation on the
music festival\u2019s tourism impact assessment in Greece. He converted his piano
lessons to composing trance music in a group called \u201cStarChildren\u201d (1999-2005),
and later on, he produced EDM and house music in a duo named
\u201cHouseTwins\u201d(2010-2017) while continuing to DJ.
