Meet our Showcase Artistic Board<\/span><\/h1>\n

<\/p>

The Showcase Artistic Board consists of key people of the Greek and international music industry,
who will be responsible for the final selection of artists that will perform live in the showcases of AMW 2025.<\/p>

The members of the Artistic Board will bring in the process their deep knowledge and experience,
finding new artists and bands for the next AMW and giving them the chance to let their talent shine.<\/p>

Anca Lupes (RO)<\/h2>\n

Anca Lupes is one of the most experienced professionals in the Romanian music business. One of her most important advantages is that during her career she works in almost all the areas of this industry: mass media (press, radio, TV), concert organising, record companies, music publishing, management and booking agencies. Due to her extensive experience, in 2006 she starts teaching music business in Romania 2009 she becomes the first Romanian music business professional to graduate the Master in Music Business program from Berkelee College of Music (Boston, USA).<\/p>\n

In 2016 she founds the first international music business conference in Romania \u2013 Mastering The Music Business conference & showcase festival – which quickly becomes a relevant professional event in the CSEE area. She is the pioneer of music business education in Romania. Currently she is President of RAW Music (the main organiser MMB and Romania\u00b4s official music export office) and Executive Director of INDIERO (the Romanian indie labels & publishers association, affiliated to IMPALA and WIN).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n

Andreas Periklis Metaxas (GR)<\/h2>\n

Andreas started his career in digital publications and websites in 2013, before working briefly as a communications consultant in the NGO sector. In 2020, he joined Stay Independent as a copywriter and press officer and quickly moved up the ranks to become a Senior Marketing Manager. In his role, he leads a team of 12 employees and oversees the Distribution, PR, Sales, and Social Media departments.<\/p>\n

With a music roster of Greek multiplatinum and diamond-certified artists, Stay Independent is currently the most successful music company in Greece when it comes to streaming, achieving up to 58% in the local digital charts on a weekly basis.<\/p>\n

In addition to his professional career, Andreas is also an active podcaster and YouTube creator since 2014, presenting interviews with established music artists and personalities from the music and media sector.<\/p>\n

In 2020, he co-founded the Legal Pizza independent media outlet, which has reached millions of views on YouTube and topped the local podcast charts on Spotify.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n

Andreas Trachonitis (CY)<\/h2>\n

After graduating from Berklee College of Music with a degree in Music Production and Engineering and in Contemporary Writing and Production, Trachonitis established his own recording facility, studio eleven63 in Nicosia, Cyprus.<\/p>\n

From his studio, he works with the cream of the Cypriot scene and with acclaimed international clients, producing, recording and mixing records, songs, jingles, film scores, and designing sound for animations.<\/p>\n

In addition to his studio work, he has extensive experience in live music through his role as production manager of Fengaros Festival and Louvana Records as well as being the coordinator of various European projects such as Eurotoire Circuit.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n

Antonis Zouganelis (GR)<\/h2>\n

Artistic Director of the AthensJazz and huge admirer of the British Jazz explosion, Antonis Zouganelis is currently the music and events consultant of Technopolis \u2013 City of Athens and the Owner of the music consulting agency TheCluster. He grew up in Nikaia, Piraeus and studied at the American College of Greece.<\/p>\n

Having worked in the music sector for more than 20 years, he has been moving around in various positions and businesses within the industry.<\/p>\n

From artistic direction to artists\u2019 management and International bookings, from intellectual property to creative direction and production, from events & festivals production direction and management to marketing management and from entertainment concept design to cultural management and consulting in music projects & businesses.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n

Argie Dalavagas (GR)<\/h2>\n

Argie Dalavagas is an experienced Greek promoter and talent agent, known for his dynamic role in shaping the entertainment landscape of Athens. As the owner of TMR Entertainment Group, a production company he founded in 2012, Argie has been at the forefront of booking and promoting a diverse range of talent.<\/p>\n

TMR Entertainment has become a go-to name for live events, representing artists and performers across various genres, including rock, metal, electronic music, and stand-up comedy. This versatility has allowed TMR to carve out a niche in the competitive entertainment industry, catering to a wide range of audiences and musical tastes.<\/p>\n

In addition to his work with TMR Entertainment, Argie is also the owner of Arch Club, a renowned live music venue in Athens. Arch Club has become a key destination for music lovers, hosting a variety of local and international acts and contributing to the vibrant cultural scene in the city.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n

35 years plus in the industry from local artist management in 80s, record label distribution in the 90s (Sub Pop, City Slang, Crammed, Lookout, Epitaph, Crypt, etc) joined Iguapop live concerts promoting company in 90s,merging into Gamerco in Barcelona in the 2ks and LN Spain since 2006.<\/p>\n

He is PR, Talent, Export for Live Nation Madrid, Head of The Spanish Wave Showcase export programme, Director at Andaluc\u00eda Music Forum, Dcodelab in Dcode festival, Kid Nation project and lecturer at LN Live Music Master at UCM.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n

Christos Papanantsidis (GR)<\/h2>\n

Operating one of the most active agencies in the country, consistenly stepping up the game with back to back bookings in local clubs & festivals. For the most part of the last decade he is creating close bonds with bands and managers, organizing and executing repeated Eastern European and Balkan tours, serving as a tour manager \u2013 or even as a merch guy if the need arises.<\/p>\n

None of that would be relevant though, if there wasn\u2019t a solid passion for the music itself in the way. Being a maniac collector of rare vinyl, during the COVID years Made of Stone Recordings was launched to document the contemporary heavy\/psych scene with exclusive releases of highly collectible vinyl editions from top notch bands in the field, both touring comrades and not.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n

Dragan Ambrozi\u0107 (RS)<\/h2>\n

Born in 1962 in Belgrade, he studied Psychology and graduated in Communication Science. He began publishing music reviews in 1986 for Student and later edited its Theoria column (1987\u20131990), helping launch numerous young music critics.<\/p>\n

He contributed to magazines like Rock, Beorama, and Mladost. As a founder and editor of Ritam (1989\u20131995), he set new standards for writing about popular culture. Since 1997, he has regularly published reviews and essays for Vreme and platforms like B92, Popboks, and Nova.rs, amassing over 2,000 texts.<\/p>\n

He has organized concerts since 1990, including The Prodigy’s legendary 1995 show, and worked with the EXIT festival since 2003. Currently, he is the music editor at Belgrade Dom omladine, EXIT Festival Main Stage Artistic Director and program manager of the Belgrade Jazz Festival. To date, he has organized over 3,000 music events, focusing on major rock and jazz performances.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n

Evi Choursanidi (GR)<\/h2>\n

Evi Choursanidi comes from the field of Communication and Media and is currently the editor-in-chief of Avopolis (www.avopolis.gr<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Part \u201cPR girl\u201d \/ part journalist, she has worked for several years as an Account Manager in a public relations company, as an Online Content Manager in music groups (MAD TV, Frontstage), and simultaneously as a writer for websites and magazines, mainly focusing on music and pop culture (Jumping Fish, 24Media, Rolling Stone, Avopolis).<\/p>\n

In \u201cconcert\u201d circles, she is known as \u201cListen to This,\u201d from the name of the blog she has maintained since 2009,\u00a0akouauto.gr<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n

Lisa Nasta (UK)<\/h2>\n

Lisa Nasta is a skilled event manager, music educator and luthier. As Director of Re-Play Music, she leads a non-profit that donates instruments, educates children and entertains audiences at Kidz Field, Glastonbury Festival.<\/p>\n

Formerly Director of Surrey Strings Music Store and the Abbey School of Music, she developed outreach and education programs while managing tutors & events. Founder of Re-Play Music Festival, showcasing 120 bands over three days in London, twice nominated for Green Awards in Merton, and receiving international recognition for environmental initiatives.<\/p>\n

Currently, she shares a role of area coordinator\/ production manager for Glastonbury’s Green Futures Field, programs Glasto KidzField MusicAcademy and is Weyfest Kids Area\u00a0coordinator.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n

Makis Quetempo (GR)<\/h2>\n

Makis Quetempo (aka Makis Kentepozidis) is based in Athens. He is the co-artistic director & founder of Stegi Radio (fka Movement Radio) and music curator & programmer for the Onassis Stegi Foundation.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He is currently curating the festivals Borderline and Stegi Radio Takeover.\u00a0<\/span>He has also curated the following thematic festivals for Onassis Stegi: \u201cThe Death Of Recorded Music\u201d (2017), \u201cEnter Afrofuturism\u201d(2017), \u201cBlockchain: Utopia or U-turn\u201d (2019), \u201cMovement: Beyond and Between Borders\u201d (2020).\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He is a musician and member of the bands The Groove Machine, Drog_A_Tek and The Erasers.\u00a0<\/span>He has composed music for cinema, theater, dance and multimedia performances. As a member of Drog_A_Tek he has received the best music award from the Hellenic Film Academy for the movies “Homeland” by Syllas Tzoumerkas and “Spring Awakening” by Konstantinos Giannaris.<\/span><\/p>\n

His curatorial practice focuses on the cultural exchange between regions and genres that are being manifested through the overlapping histories, narratives and sounds of the Mediterranean and the Balkans.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n

Michalis Kamakas (GR)<\/h2>\n

Michalis Kamakas is a radio producer at Kosmos 93.6. He is the creator of the podcast series \u201cGig time\u201d, which delves into the history of the biggest festivals, clubs, and music scenes worldwide.<\/p>\n

He is also the host of the session series \u201cUrban live sounds\u201d (ERT), which features young artists from the domestic music scene.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n

Olga Papadopoulou (GR)<\/h2>\n

For nearly two decades, Olga has played an active role in the production and execution of numerous live events, concerts, and festivals, collaborating with leading cultural centers in Athens and creative teams across Greece.<\/span>

\n<\/span>Her educational background includes sound engineering and acoustics, classical & jazz piano studies, currently exploring the field of sound therapy among other disciplines.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

She is part of the Athens Music Week core team, mainly responsible for the Artists and Showcase program Coordination since 2022, and she has been collaborating with the HUB for the Exchange of Music Innovation (HEMI) coordinating the HEMI \u039cusic \u0391wards & HEMI \u0399ncubator educational activities.<\/span>

Oskar Strajn (SI\/NL)<\/h2>\n

Slovenian-born and Amsterdam-based, Oskar Strajn is an international booker at Eurosonic Noorderslag (ESNS), Europe\u2019s largest live music industry event.<\/p>\n

With a decade of experience boosting emerging artists across Europe, Oskar works closely with the Music Moves Europe Awards, the yearly music awards presented by the European Commission. He also contributes to the European Talent Exchange, helping artists get booked at festivals around the world. Additionally, he works as a music programmer at the international festival Motel Moza\u00efque in Rotterdam, and he is the co-creator of the EMERGE music AI.<\/p>\n

A life-long member of the DIY music club community, Oskar also previously worked as a radio DJ and moderator, music journalist, event promoter, and artist manager.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n

Ruth Koleva (BG)<\/h2>\n

Ruth Koleva is a trailblazer in supporting live music and fostering industry innovation. In 2019, she launched the Sofia Live Festival, a three-day celebration of contemporary artistry that attracted over 8,000 attendees in its debut year, showcasing her dedication to elevating Bulgaria\u2019s music scene.<\/p>\n

Building on this momentum, she founded the SoAlive music conference in 2023, serving as its CEO and creating a vital platform for networking and collaboration within the industry. Through these initiatives, Koleva is not only nurturing live music but also positioning Bulgaria as a hub for cultural and industry\u00a0advancement.<\/p>\n

A passionate advocate for equality, she supports the LGBTQ+ community through Sofia Pride performances and her advisory role with the Single Step Foundation. Koleva also serves as president of ANMIP-BG, a PROPHON board member, and a voice for Bulgarian music internationally\u00a0via\u00a0IMPALA.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n

Theodora Karakassi (GR)<\/h2>\n

Theodora\u00a0Karakassi\u00a0is\u00a0the co-organiser of the Athens based Plissk\u00ebn\u00a0Festival.\u00a0 With an active career in Architectural\u00a0Design and Production & Event Management, music and design merge in one.\u00a0Plissk\u00ebn started as a boutique\u00a0music\u00a0festival that has been running for the past 12 years.\u00a0 Set across 2 days, 4 stages, and 45\u00a0international\u00a0artists per edition, it boasts a multi genre and eclectic Line Up.<\/p>\n

As a production company Plissk\u00ebn also hosts numerous concerts, mini festivals and curates or designs events for other\u00a0organisations throughout the year. Shows vary from the ancient theater of Acropolis to underground clubs or big concert\u00a0halls, creating new concepts and challenging the status\u00a0quo with the EDEN Sunday parties inviting great International DJ\u2019s.<\/p>\n

Voltnoi Brege (GR)<\/h2>\n

Voltnoi Brege was born in Athens 1972 and is an interdisciplinary artist and curator working in the fields of live cinema performance, the internet, audiovisual installations and music.<\/span><\/p>\n

He was the co-founder of Bios cultural center in Athens. He is a founding member of the audiovisual collectives The Erasers and drog_A_tek.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He has presented his work around Europe in various festivals and institutions such as ICA in London, Mapping Festival in Geneva, Bernier\/Eliades Gallery, Athens Biennial, Documenta 14 and the Athens Festival. Through the curatorial platform DETACH, which has organized a series of festivals, such as The Death of Recorded Music (2017), Enter Afrofuturism (2017), Blockchain: Utopia or U-turn (2018), Movement 1920 \u2013 2020: Beyond and Between Borders (2020), produced by Onassis Foundation in Athens.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He is the co-founder and co-artistic director of <\/span>stegi.radio<\/span><\/a>, an international online radio station broadcasting from Athens. He is the music curator for Onassis Stegi.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n
