Dr. Margarita Alexomanolaki was born in Athens Greece. She has studied piano at the Hellenic Conservatoire (1996) and Musicology at the National Kapodistrian University of Athens (1998). She earned her Mmus in Ethnomusicology at Goldsmiths College, University of London (2001) as well as her PhD in \u201cMusic and Memory in TV Advertising\u201d (2006). In 2009 she succeeded at the exams for the National School for Public Administration in Athens, from where she was appointed to the Ministry of Culture.
