Bringing together voices from across music, culture, creative industries and technology, the event creates a space for exchange around some of the questions that continue to shape our ecosystem:

How can music and culture contribute to more resilient societies, supporting artists, professionals and the creative economy?
And how can they act as drivers for cities and regions, through stronger collaboration between public institutions, industry stakeholders and the creative community?

The gathering also marks the beginning of this year’s collaboration with the Goethe-Institut Athen, bringing the Greek and German creative scenes closer and opening the dialogue around diversity, cultural production and European cooperation.

At its core, the event invites participants to explore how music can act as a bridge across sectors, connecting different efforts and contributing to more connected and resilient communities and societies.

The conversation will feature contributions from:

– Manos Dedevessis, Co-founder, Stay Independent

The event will take place at the Goethe-Institut Athens on March 30, from 18:00 to 21:00, with the discussion scheduled from 18:15 to 19:15.
The evening will then continue with an informal networking session and music, offering space for further exchange until 21:00.

Held between Sassari and Alghero, the initiative brings together workshops, showcases, and discussions exploring how tradition, sustainability, and new technologies are reshaping the live music experience. Organised by Carta da Musica and Le Ragazze Terribili with the artistic direction of Barbara Vargiu and curatorship of Federica Ceppa, the programme features contributions from Assomusica, regional partners, and European professionals from Greece, Italy, Hungary, Croatia, and the Baltic countries.

Beyond its local impact, Sardinia Music Hub stands as part of a wider regional network MESO continues to strengthen, alongside initiatives such as Ato JazZ in Sofia, MMB in Bucharest, So Alive Music Conference, and the Sicilia Music Conference. Each of these touchpoints contributes to a common purpose: to build a connected and innovative live music ecosystem across Southern and Eastern Europe.

From Sardinia to Athens, every partnership and encounter adds another piece to this shared roadmap, one that connects people, strengthens markets, and celebrates the diversity and creativity of the Mediterranean.

This year’s AMW festival took place from the 22nd to the 26th of June 2021, in a hybrid edition, at Technopolis of the Municipality of Athens. Those who participated had the opportunity to be informed about the new trends in the Music Industry, through selected talks, panels, workshops, webinars, and showcases, but also to enjoy a live concert night on the Live Stage of Technopolis!

More specifically, three stunning acts appeared on the Live Stage of AMW which stood out during the last year, conquering the charts and gaining as much love from the public: the dream-pop of Atomic Love, the romantic emo rapper Solmeister and the next urban pop star Good Job Nicky, in his first live appearance!

Good Job Nicky, the “next urban pop star”, in his first live performance!

Good Job Nicky released his debut album in October 2020. His single “January 8^th” became an instant trend on Youtube reaching 2 million views to date, while its Shazam searches skyrocketed and sent this pop single to the top digital charts. The single has been added to over 2,000 playlists on Spotify and has gained support in large territory markets like Italy, Turkey, Romania, and Israel. Now, it’s time for the 25-year-old artist from the island of Paros to step onstage for the first time in a major concert venue and unveil the persona that has attracted audiences worldwide.

Solmeister, the romantic emo rapper!

The beloved “prince” of audiences of all ages, speaks straight to the heart with his experiential lyrics and multidimensional sound, a fusion of rap, punk and emo entraining in its path a whole generation of teenagers! His latest album, “See you in hell” which came out in 2021, finds him exploring a new, darker era, by revisiting his emo roots. In a unique musical show, accompanied by the Cool Kids Never Die full band, Solmeister performs live after a long time, for a tribute to all that‘s happened, an ode to what’s going on and an introspective vision of what’s about to come.

Atomic Love and their dream pop psychedelia!

Dream pop melodies, psychedelic guitars and loops aplenty create the musical world of Atomic Love, who published their debut album “Vol/1” in 2021. This up-and-coming trio, Eva Vasilonikolou (vocals, loops, lyrics), Panos Liapis, (guitar) and Paulos Morfis (keyboards), have been very active in the concert field, and are definitely one of the most well rounded, ambitious and promising bands of the indie pop scene. Inspired by artists like Bjork, Αlt-j, Radiohead, London Grammar, Portishead, Florence and the Machine, they attempt to explore the absurd, the evolution and the self-destruction in romantic relationships.
