Maja Vidmar Klarić is an accomplished leader with nearly 15 years of experience in copyright management, intellectual property rights, and the music industry. As the Executive Director of Croatia Records, the region’s leading record label, she is dedicated to developing innovative solutions, preserving musical heritage, and supporting artists in realizing their creative potential.

Previously, as Director of ZAPRAF, Maja oversaw key operations and projects for the Croatian Phonographic Association, leading initiatives such as the Nova Ploča Awards, Diskografska Spajalica, Inkubator Dobre Glazbe, and the Top HR Music Awards. She has played a vital role in promoting artistic excellence and recognizing musicians’ contributions to cultural development.

Her expertise extends to legislation and policy-making, having been a member of the Working Group for drafting the new Copyright and Related Rights Act. She actively collaborates with domestic and international stakeholders in intellectual property, contributing to industry advancements. She is also a member of the Croatian Copyright Society and the Cooperation Group with Intellectual Property Rights Holders at the State Intellectual Property Office.

Maja holds a law degree from the University of Zagreb and is completing a Postgraduate Specialist Study in Intellectual Property. Her core competencies include strategic leadership, digital transformation, partnership development, and intellectual property expertise. Her vision for Croatia Records focuses on integrating tradition with innovation, expanding into global markets, and strengthening support for artists and emerging talent.
