With a proven track record, working with some of the industry’s leading figures, Nikiforos is much in demand as orchestrator, arranger and composer for Film, TV, Theatre, Video Games, Concerts and Festivals. He is currently reconstructing, and producing, the complete world premiere score re-recordings of two early scores by James Horner for Oliver Stone’s The Hand (1981) & Peter Yates’ The Dresser (1983), in collaboration with the composer’s Estate. The recordings are set to be released by Perseverance Records. Past and recent projects include reconstructing, arranging, and producing a 10-minute Highlander Suite (music by Michael Kamen) and a 14-minute Alien Suite (music by Jerry Goldsmith) for Perseverance Records; live-to-picture adaptation, and arrangements of Bruno Coulais’ score for Les Choristes (2004), world premiered in 2023, at La Seine Musicale in Paris, France; Arranging the world premiere of the concert version of Legends of the Fall (1995), in collaboration with the late composer’s Estate (world premiered at A Voyage Through the Worlds of James Horner concert in Szczecin, Poland); providing orchestrations for Kostas Christides’ score for Christopher Papakaliatis TV series Maestro in Blue (2022); music prepping Christopher Young’s score for The Piper (2023); several arrangements commissioned by the world leading Europäische filmphilharmonie, Krakow FMF, Film Music Prague, FMS – Film Music Services, Lei Cine Music Management, and the Michael Kamen & James Horner Estates, among others.
Since 2018 he has been a lecturer, delivering an annual series of film music seminars at the Athens SAE Institute, part of the school’s Film & Sound course.
