]]> Berlin-based duo 505, formed by guitarist Daniel Calvi and electronic artist Mattia Prete, crafts a sonic landscape where electronica, jazz, and trip-hop converge. After a defining year at Montreux Jazz, Fusion, and Garbicz Festival, they are set to release their independent debut album, “True at First Light”, on February 27th, 2026.

Their sound pulses with deep rhythms and dreamlike atmospheres, driven by a collaborative philosophy that invites European musicians to shape each live show into a unique experience. Following the release, 505 will tour Japan in March before returning to Europe for an extensive run of concerts, including a live show at Privat club Berlin on May 21st.

Combining cinematic storytelling with raw energy, 505 continues to transcend genre boundaries through ongoing sonic experimentation.

]]> Born and raised in Athens, Jō began playing piano and singing from a young age and made her first appearance on stage at the age of 17 alongside Greek hip hop artists. Later on, she formed an acoustic trio with whom she performed pop and rock covers. Fast forward a few years, and having refined her influences with jazz, soul and neo-soul sounds, Jō has released 4 singles and is currently working on her first album with Mellowsophy music, whom she joined in 2022. During this time, she has performed in several venues and events,  including Mellowsophy Music festival at Gazarte, The Meet Market, and Afrikana.

]]> Alexander Mihaylov is a Bulgarian folk and jazz musician, who has found creative expression through two very distinct instruments – kaval (a traditional Bulgarian wooden flute) and saxophone. Drawing from his deep roots in both folk and jazz, he merges these influences to shape rich ethno-jazz soundscapes that flow effortlessly between tradition and contemporary expression.

His quintet, “Alexander Mihaylov & His Patardia” takes its name from his debut album, Patardia – a Bulgarian word meaning “noise and uproar” as well as the fusion of contrasting sounds. True to its name, the project thrives on unexpected musical combinations, intertwining the ancient tones of the kaval with modern influences. The result is a vibrant fusion that redefines the instrument’s possibilities, pushing it beyond its traditional roots into bold, new territories.

Mihaylov is joined by an exceptional group of musicians, each adding their own distinctive touch to the band’s sound – Ilko Gradev (keyboards, accordion) enriches the music with harmonic depth, Georgi Popov (percussion) provides intricate rhythmic layers, Georgi Uzunov (bass guitar) lays down dynamic grooves, and Viktor Radanov (drums) drives the pulse with both subtlety and power.

The trio by the name of great for healing is an adventurous new birth inside the ginormous music industry with multiple influences imitating the beginning and possible ending of the universe. With Eirini Alisá (Piano/ Keys), Nicky Kokkoli (Sax) and Giannis Papanikolaou (Drums), a blend of jazz, electronic elements and rigorously unfiltered storytelling is born.

In between schisms and elevator shafts lay the major rests and pauses they all three seek in their music. Sound without pauses is food without spices.

Through their “mistakes”, they build new ideas and converse with the audience in this new era of modern music, in which, jazz is once again a genre of no elitism, music for the people, for young blood. Three storytellers ready to charm you with their plastic pipes, arpeggiators, lack of greatness and effects.

]]> The Lefties is a band founded in Shumen, Bulgaria in 2012 with the group being 13 years old. The Lefties musical style has varied a lot from the early years with their exploration of different genres starting from punk-funk, new wave, grunge, soul, jazz, and metal, never hesitating to experiment in order to develop a signature sound. Vulnerable tenderness and sensual erotic grooves meet ferocious aggression and tormented confusion. The lyrics are both in Bulgarian and English heavily influenced by the conflicting paradox of human nature, romantic and sexual, interpreting a person’s relationship with his own ego.

]]> Kolida Babo is the collaboration between two Greek woodwind musicians from separate regions – Socratis Votskos is from Pella, and Harris P is from Athens. Their self-titled debut album, was recorded in improvised live-take sessions beginning on the night of the “Kolida Babo” folk rituals of music and dance in northern Greece in winter 2013. The sessions proceeded over three years, exploring the ancient music of Armenia and the folk traditions of northern Greece’s Epirus and Thrace regions alongside abstract electronics and free jazz.

Their aim is to express themselves to fully through music and art. Creativity and collective expression is a vehicle to a better understanding of life itself and music is a universal language that it must be accessible to everyone. The first presentation of their music took place in Athens (February 2017). Kolida Babo was chosen to participate at the 18nth Biennale of young Artists – Europe and Medditeranean in the field of music, where was the opening act at the Biennale in Tirana, Albania.

They released their first LP with MIC Records (London). They have also released a single with Jazzman Records jazz45 series ”Spirits of Mauronoros”. They have performed and recorded for Greek National Radio and presented their LP in Athens, Thessaloniki and Madrid , performing in Museo Reina Sofia.
In November of 2018 they composed the original score of ”Gospel of Michiel” documentary, presented in 21st Thessaloniki Documentary Festival. Their music is broadcasted via many Radio shows and received many positive reviews from “The Wire”, “The Guardian”, “thevinylfactory.com“. They also performed in Reworks festival, Cosmopolis festival (GR), and in Vinterjazz festival (Copenhagen, Denmark). They currently prepare their second LP release, while participating in Thessaloniki documentary film festival.

]]> Zulu 3.4 is a contemporary band from Skopje, founded in March 2018 by Damjan Danevsi with the idea to bring together young jazz enthusiasts, whose goal was is create a unique sound through the fusion of different styles and bring new musical experience to the Macedonian stage. Zulu 3.4 consists of three members: Damjan Danevski (drums), Mario Simonovski (guitar), and Martin Dzhorlev (keyboards). So far, the band has released 3 studio albums, 1 live album, and 1 EP.

In March 2019 they have promoted their debut album “FM to AM”. Their second album “Expandability” was released and promoted in March 2020 and the third “Fragments” became public in November 2021. Each album is thematically and musically different than the others, as the band is constantly evolving and progressing

]]> Weronika Amelia Kijewska, known as WERA, is a polish composer, cellist, singer, bassist and street performer, currently living in Athens, member of duo Wera&Nick and Road Duck band. 

Weronika began studying music at the age of 7 at the Stanisław Moniuszko Music School in her hometown Wałbrzych.

She has studied culture and history of art, as well photography, but in the end, she chose music. She is the winner of the VII edition of Festival WSCHODY in Poland, has participated in many different projects like the polish folk band Saint Nicholas Orchestra and the instrumental post-rock cinematic septet SEKTA DENTA. 

Four years ago, while living in Iceland completely cut off from society, she began to create her solo project. She loves to create collages of sounds based on her looper and her voice. Weronika calls her project as an avant cello with a dreamy mixture of indie rock, jazz, folk classical and cinematic music.
