Katarzyna Czechowska is the Artist & Label Partnership Lead for Scaled Markets at Spotify, where she leads a team responsible for relationships with the music industry across nine European markets. In her role, she oversees marketing initiatives that support artists and their teams in growing their careers, building fandoms, and reaching global audiences on Spotify.

With over 25 years of experience in the music industry, she has worked with a wide range of local and international artists, as well as record labels, publishers, management teams, and distributors. Her expertise spans music marketing and digital distribution, giving her a deep understanding of how to successfully develop artists in today’s streaming-driven landscape.

As one of the brains behind Ravekjavik, Anna creates unforgettable electronic music and visual art festival, transforming abandoned industrial spaces into cultural hotspots. Beyond Ravekjavik, Anna’s deeply rooted in the local scene, working hand-in-hand with grassroots collectives and venues to keep the beats pumping. By day, she’s diving into the world of e-commerce and digital marketing, where her main focus is on making people stay sharp and see the world clearly. Anna’s not one for the spotlight, but her passion for music and community speaks volumes. During the last edition of Eastern European Music Academy, she joined forces with industry collegues to explore ways to optimize any operation in the music business.

Zosia Matysik (PL)

Her life revolves around culture and music in particular. She has been working in the arts and media business for over 15 years gaining professional experience in show production, touring, managing, and promoting. She received musical education going through a decade of classical piano and percussion training, then earned her BA and MA in TV and film production. She is a co-owner of Delta Booking and Publishing agency, one of Poland’s longest-operating promoters of American music, like Blues, Roots, and Americana. For more than two decades the agency has been booking over a hundred shows each year bringing genuine American sounds to Central and Eastern Europe. The publishing branch of the Agency is mostly focused on “Twój Blues” Quarterly – Poland’s only magazine devoted entirely to blues music, the 2011 recipient of the “Keeping the Blues Alive” Award in the Print Media category.

Zosia is also proud of her activity as a music journalist where she has earned multiple awards for her writing and photography. She was a co-host of a cultural program on Polish National Television, and since 2018 she has been hosting a weekly radio show focusing entirely on women in music and promoting female empowerment through art. Since 2021 Zosia has been serving on the international team of music professionals of HEMI. Together they support and mentor promising artists and young entrepreneurs, encouraging innovations in music start-ups and boosting creativity in the Central and South-Eastern European music market.

Aga Samitowska stands at the forefront of the MusicTech landscape, leveraging her expertise in technology with years of experience in the music industry. Aga offers a unique perspective on integrating innovative solutions into the music business. Previously, she worked for nearly a decade at Kayax, a Warsaw-based independent record label, where she led the digital distribution department and was a manager to top Polish artists like Brodka, Nosowska, and Hey.

Misia Furtak (PL)

Misia Furtak is an awarded musician, cultural manager and activist. Together with the band Très.B,
she has been awarded the prestigious Paszport Polityki for “a skillful combination of strength and
delicacy that is both independent and hit”.

Her professional path fulfills this prophetic verdict, as Misia combines working with the indie music,
jazz, modern classical and Polish rap giants.

In 2022, Furtak was selected to Keychange – a pioneering organisation supporting women and
gender minorities in the music industry. She continues her work on diversity and inclusion in the
sector, runs capacity building for artists and is a member of European Music Business Task Force, a
think tank, which explores ways to boost the EU music market.

She also led the Polish chapter of Music Declares Emergency. She has played in Europe and Japan,
alongside The National, Arlo Parks, TV On The Radio, and many others.

Virtual Geisha (PL)

DJ, record collector, radio host and culture activist, active on stage since 2014.
Renowned for her love for old school sound as well as attention to technical mixing skills
in her eclectic selections. Being a lover of 90s rave obscure records, she is curating her own “KAOS” event series, once a month at her home club, Prozak 2.0.
Between 2021 and 2023 she was running her jazz radio programme “Midnightly” on Radio Kapitał. Currently, she is back with a new “Electronica Esoterica” show, oriented towards a selection of organic house and world music – all that combining into a musical voyage at a lazy pace.
In 2022, she played on Polish Float during the Love Parade revival – Rave The Planet Parade alongside other top-notch polish DJs and producers.

Founder of Maiko DJ Lab, mentoring agency which was selected this year as one of high potential startups – offering sustainable solutions to the music sector – by HEMI, Hub for the Exchange of Music Innovation – a project co-funded by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union.

From time to time, she works as sound designer in theatre and takes part in various art projects and installations.

Karolina Juzwa – coordinator in Wytwornia Foundation, booking manager of Wytwornia
venue, curator of Summer Jazz Academy Festival, initiator and curator of Intl Jazz Platform,
intl meeting for artists & professionals. Member of the Europe Jazz Network Board of
Directors.
For the last ten years she has worked as a coordinator in Wytwornia Foundation, a non-profit
cultural organization and the organizer of Summer Jazz Academy Festival. She is also the
initiator and curator of Intl Jazz Platform – education scheme for professional artists that has
been organized since 2013 in Lodz. Since 2021 Intl Jazz Platform is also organized in Oslo in
partnership with Nasjonal Jazzscene and Norges Musikkhøgskole.
She is a co-leader of the Creative Europe project Footprints that is now implemented in 6
European countries and which aims at introducing the environmental responsibility to the
music sector and increasing the mobility of artists in Europe and co-creator of the new
Creative Europe project “Better Live” to be implemented with Le Periscope Lyon and 9 more
European partners within years 2023-2026.
In the years 2010 – 2013 she worked in Design Silesia project co-financed by European
Social Fund, within which, among others, she coordinated international partnership on service
design with Welsh PDR Centre (The National Centre for Product Design and Development
Research at Cardiff Met University). She also coordinated the Polish pioneering project on
service design in public institutions called “Design at your service”, which won international
Design Management Europe Award.

Cinemon (PL)

An analog power trio from Cracow, Poland. Musically between classic rock, 90’s Seattle scene and contemporary alternative, they’re not shying away from experiments outside of the genres. It’s just supposed to be noisy and true.

Defying the “official industry”, they’ve been walking their own paths throughout the world – they’ve played a few hundred shows in 11 countries (including Canada, Germany, Ukraine, Macedonia and more).

Their discography consists of 7 releases, on their favourite vinyls, too Worked with the best people of rock, such as Mark Rains (Rival Sons) or Denis Blackham (Eric Clapton, Black Sabbath).

Their music gets airplay regularly on the best alternative radio stations in Poland (357, Antyradio, Trojka) but, still, it tastes the best served live. You can test this statement on AMW!

Education and networking are the main goals of Foundation; amongst plenty of smaller projects we focus on two main ones: Tak Brzmi Miasto conference & showcase festival and Tak Brzmi Miasto Incubator – huge educational project being held in four major polish cities for 120 emerging artists and managers yearly.
