Maria Krani is a sociologist and criminologist who lives in Athens. She completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Sociology and Criminology respectively at Panteion University of Social and Political Studies in Athens, from which she graduated with honours. She has since published multiple academic articles and research. She worked as a researcher for SAFIA (Student Association for International Affairs) for two years.

She loves literature and has been reading in both Greek and English since a very young age. She’s currently working as a book content creator mainly on Instagram (@amaryllis_book_reviews), as well as other social media platforms like Facebook and Tiktok. She has also her own blog dedicated to book content (www.mariasbookishcorner.com), where she rights in-depth book reviews, book recommendations and pretty much anything regarding books and the book community, exclusively in English.
