
Kathrin Brunner is a creative producer specializing in XR, immersive media, and new forms of interaction. Driven by curiosity, she explores emerging technologies to create innovative narrative and interactive experiences. She has held senior management positions at the Warner/Bertelsmann joint venture in2movies, Deutsche Telekom, and Discovery Communications. With Starberry.the media factory and mYndstorm productions, she has consulted companies ranging from ProSiebenSat.1’s VoD platform maxdome to major German public broadcasters.
With Mind the Brain!, she pioneered neuroreactive VR with Oliver Czeslik. The project won the Stereopsia Lumière Award for Best VR Technology (2020) and the 1E9 New Realities Award (2021), and was exhibited at the Deutsches Museum in Munich. The French-German coproduction Duchampiana premiered at Venice Immersive 2024, won Best Art Experience at the European XR Awards – Stereopsia 2024, received the Impact Prize at NewImages 2025, and is part of the Berlinale EFM Selection 2026.
Kathrin also teaches and gives masterclasses on XR storytelling, immersive interaction design, and emerging media formats. She holds a doctoral degree in Strategic Management from the Munich School of Management (LMU), focusing on organization theory in times of globalization.
