Athens Music Week (AMW) returns for its 8th edition from 6 to 9 May 2026, once again transforming Athens into a key meeting point for the international music industry, creators and the city’s audiences. The full programme is now available.
Over four days, the leading music industry gathering in Southeast Europe presents a multidimensional programme featuring more than 100 events, including presentations, panel discussions, masterclasses, workshops, networking sessions, as well as concerts and showcase events across selected venues in the city. Bringing together more than 180 invited professionals and 30 artists from Greece and abroad, AMW continues to serve as a dynamic platform for knowledge exchange, new ideas and meaningful collaborations.
At a time of constant change, this year’s edition focuses on the evolution of music ecosystems in Europe and Greece, highlighting music not only as an art form, but as a space for innovation, collaboration and growth. In this context, and with the participation of European networks such as the Federation of Music Conferences (FoMC) and Music Tech Europe Association, alongside initiatives like SONIC Interreg Europe, and with the support of the Hellenic Film and Audiovisual Center (EKKOMEΔ), the conference programme opens up a dialogue on the present and future of the sector at national, regional and European level. Under the auspices of the Hellenic Copyright Organization (OPI), AMW conference programme is developed in collaboration with organisations including AI Pharos, production companies, festivals, record labels and key representatives of the Greek music ecosystem.
As always, music itself remains at the core of Athens Music Week. AMW creates an open and dynamic meeting space where artists, professionals, policymakers, entrepreneurs, as well as audiences and music lovers, connect, exchange ideas and experiences, and build new collaborations. Through this vibrant community, AMW strengthens interaction, knowledge sharing and creative exchange, bringing together different parts of the music ecosystem.
This year, Athens Music Week collaborates with the Goethe-Institut Athens, further strengthening the international dimension of the event and creating a meaningful bridge between the Greek and German music and creative scenes. The Goethe-Institut Athens will host the core conference programme as well as part of the showcase concerts, while parallel events and live performances will take place across selected venues throughout the city.
