Özge Ürer is a versatile musician, songwriter, creative director & executive producer. Known for her unique style, she blends reggae, drum & bass, alt-pop, and electronic music, standing out in the alternative scene.

Her musical journey began at a young age, shaped by a background in classical Turkish music. Over time, she fused traditional and modern elements, developing a signature sound that transcends genres. Recognized as one of Türkiye’s leading female reggae artists, her work raises social awareness through impactful songs like Kafam Kaçıyor and Özgür Ol. Her latest EP, Unutmam II, integrates drum & bass and electronic influence with global sounds.

With three solo albums, numerous singles, collaborations, and EPs, Özge Ürer has built a distinct musical identity, which she calls “Özge Ürer Style.” She skillfully merges alternative pop, reggae, drum & bass, EDM, electro house, trip-hop, rock, and hip-hop, creating a dynamic and versatile sound.

Beyond music, she has a strong presence in the advertising and creative industries, bringing her expertise into cultural and artistic projects. As a core member of Sista Sound, Türkiye’s first female musician collective, she plays a key role in supporting women in the music industry. Through Sista Sound, she organizes projects like the annual March 8 events, promoting solidarity, empowerment, and equality.

Özge Ürer is known for her prolific songwriting and performance in alternative styles, one of Turkey’s rare female & leading reggae artists.

With 3 solo albums, numerous singles, collaborations, and EPs, Özge Ürer has performed at festivals both nationally & internationally, and has held concerts at leading venues.

As a multidisciplinary independent artist, she has skillfully blended alternative pop, reggae, drum and bass, EDM, electro house, trip-hop, bass beat, hip-hop and more with anatolian flavor to create her unique style, which she calls the “Özge Ürer Stili” (means Özge Ürer Style).

She founded Turkey’s first and only improvisational reggae band, Good Vibes, and took on the roles of producer, singer – songwriter for the EP titled “Özgür ol.” She has released rare Turkish drum and bass tracks and has made her mark with Turkey’s first Turkish-language Future Rave song with NitroKIDD. Fans are calling her as a professional fire starter & queen of Turkish reggae scene and dnb singing.

Additionally, she is a managing member of Sista Sound, a collective of female musicians and artists. . She continues to work nonstop with her singer, songwriter & producer & creative director hats.

Kahadirbartal blends electronic and ambient music with anatolian melodies, creating a unique synthesis.

Viewing music as a path for self-expression and discovery, he began releasing his own songs in 2019. Since 2024, he has been independently producing and sharing his music.

His interest in various genres has led him to collaborate with many artists, both in production and as a session musician on stage. Combining traditional anatolian elements with modern electronic and ambient sounds, kahadirbartal offers a distinctive sensory experience to his listeners.

Ahmetcan Taşdemir is the founder and managing director of Gülbaba Music and Gülbaba Records. He studied Business Administration in Galatasaray University where he organised his own international music festivals. He worked for Doublemoon Records until 2010 as an artist and tour manager and worked with some of the most alternative musicians of Turkey. He is specialised on Anatolian Pop & Rock sounds. He is also the artist manager of Melike Şahin, Hey! Douglas and the living legend Selda Bağcan.

VEYasin, aka Hey! Douglas is a producer and live performer. In 2003, he released his debut album with the hiphop duo “Mode XL”. He began producing electronic music in 2013, under the name “Hey! Douglas”, and released his first album Marşandiz in 2019. VEYasin’s most remarkable achievement is the uniqueness of the sounds he creates by blending psychedelic rock with funk music and hip-hop into electronic compositions, powerfully resonating with the global scene. He is a prodigiously inspired and talented artist, capable of pushing music forward by creating unique global sounds from local roots with the help of the most recent technology. VEYasin is also one of the three musical directors of Air Anatolia, a very special project produced by the EFG London Jazz Festival and Gülbaba Records; an open invitation for trailblazers and contemporary connoisseurs of the Anadolu Pop phenomenon to join forces with artists from the UK music scene, and form an intergenerational super-band on stage. VEYasin continues to rock every stage with both Hey! Douglas live shows and DJ performances all across the world.

Gülüm Baltacıgil Gacoin (TR)

Gülüm Baltacıgil Gacoin has been prominently involved in the culture & arts field on a world-wide basis, based in Istanbul, since 1999. She started her career as an assistant to numerous international artists invited to perform in the festivals organised by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV) and Pozitif, before becoming successively programmer for Roxy Club, one of Istanbul’s iconic concert venues; the Operations Coordinator for the Istanbul Jazz Festival; the Project and Fundraising Coordinator for the Istanbul Biennial; and eventually undertaking the same position for the Istanbul Design Biennial, all under the roof of İKSV. She also works as an actress and translator, but most importantly, cannot imagine a world without music!

DPBD (TR)

Barış Demirel started performing in 2011 under the name of Barıştık Mı. He released two albums with his band. First album T.E.A.R. was released in 2015 and their second album FAIL PLAY was released in 2018. Since then, he’s been a regular performer at local and international jazz festivals in Holland, Germany, Belgium, England, Switzerland. In 2019 he was invited to perform at Montreux Jazz Festival. He also frequently collaborates with different artists from different genres such as hip hop, rap, jazz, pop and electronic.

The other half of DPBD is Da Poet who is one of the most successful and productive MCs in Turkey. He is a producer, beatmaker and a rapper. After releasing multiple albums and collaborations he and Barış Demirel got together and started the DPBD project which flows between rap, hip hop, funk, lo-fi and dub. This unique collaboration between a rapper and a trumpet player is one tasteful musical event!

Ikaru (TR)

Ikaru is a musical duo and an occasional audiovisual trio that was born out of a pure desire of identification with the expanded consciousness of the expressive qualities.

Originated in Ankara, Turkey; Ikaru gets its main inspiration from the timeless and placeless resorts of human culture, intertwined both with beats and notes of antiquity as well as the mind-bending bleeps of synth-scapes. Insisting upon a genre-free overall style, the sound of Ikaru resonates within a range of eclectic electronic beats, indigenous acoustic instruments, and psychedelic sloth-techno, sometimes revisiting an ambient, downtempo style.

In its essence, Ikaru seeks music that is “capable of expressing the inexpressible after silence” in Huxley’s words. The duo released their debut album ‘Monolith’ on 9.4.21 via Gulbaba Records.
