
Makis Quetempo (aka Makis Kentepozidis) is based in Athens. He is the co-artistic director & founder of Stegi Radio (fka Movement Radio) and music curator & programmer for the Onassis Stegi Foundation.
He is currently curating the festivals Borderline and Stegi Radio Takeover. He has also curated the following thematic festivals for Onassis Stegi: “The Death Of Recorded Music” (2017), “Enter Afrofuturism”(2017), “Blockchain: Utopia or U-turn” (2019), “Movement: Beyond and Between Borders” (2020).
He is a musician and member of the bands The Groove Machine, Drog_A_Tek and The Erasers. He has composed music for cinema, theater, dance and multimedia performances. As a member of Drog_A_Tek he has received the best music award from the Hellenic Film Academy for the movies “Homeland” by Syllas Tzoumerkas and “Spring Awakening” by Konstantinos Giannaris.
His curatorial practice focuses on the cultural exchange between regions and genres that are being manifested through the overlapping histories, narratives and sounds of the Mediterranean and the Balkans.
