A day-long session brings together professionals from the Music Side and the world of Filmmaking to learn about the respective “other side”. 

Experts from the “Film-side” will present insights to their work. 

The workshop shall enable the participants to truly understand where and how music comes into the picture. 

Agenda:

• The Music Side & The Film Side: Structures, processes and supporting the directorial vision
• The role of composed and licensed music
• Roles involved: Directors, Composers, Production Companies, Music Supervisors
• Mutual understanding and communication
• The way of music into a film: creation and decisions, opinions and input, the licensing.
• Supervisors/music agents: the in-betweens
• The Big “R”: Rights are your friend!

Closed session with limited number of participants. Synch experience and active participation required.
