Anne McKinnon

Co-Founder of Overview Ark

Anne McKinnon is cofounder of Overview Ark, a startup developing the tools and platform for artists to reach the 2.7 billion gamers in the world who are now potential virtual concert goers. The ARK is a fully persistent and evolving virtual world where you can attend concerts, buy merch, go on quests, or even hang out with friends. It also includes the ARK Portal that connects real-world concerts with virtual ones- accessible to fans at a live venue, and also on their MAC, PC, mobile, and in VR. We’re not here to disrupt the music industry, we’re here to make virtual concerts accessible to all artists and fans. Prior to Overview Ark, Anne reported and continues to write as a journalist on the current state of deep tech. She travels the world, seeing the most cutting-edge breakthroughs in art, technology, and media, interviewing leading executives, bootstrapped startups, artists, and engineers to build an accurate picture of the immersive technology ecosystem, and where it may end up. Anne is also an editor and contributor to Forbes writer Charlie Fink’s book “Convergence” on 5G and AR. She has hosted global conference sessions and seminars in gaming & esports, startups, music, and tech.
