Evangelia Vagena is a lawyer, Head of Compliance at ORFIUM, with an academic background and professional experience in IPRs & information technology law, focusing on copyright and personal data protection, data management, and cybersecurity. She served as a legal counselor of the Hellenic Copyright Organization (OPI) of the Ministry of Culture for 13 years and became its Director in 2019 for a three-year term. She has been an Adjunct Professor at the Department of Computer Science of the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB) since 2018 and a lecturer in Postgraduate studies at the University of Piraeus since 2017. She is the Vice President of the Hellenic Association of Data Protection & Privacy (HADPP), and an elected member of the Administrative Council of the Greek branch of the International Literary and Artistic Association (ALAI) since 2015. She has published in Greek the book «The technological protection and the digital management of Copyright» and many chapters in collective works as well as papers in academic journals.
Evangelia holds a Ph.D. from the Law School of the University of Athens on Digital Copyright Management and Protection and a Master’s degree (DEA) in Law and Information Technology from the University of Montpellier.
