In charge of Greece and the German-speaking region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland), Katerina was born and raised in Athens. She moved to Berlin in 2008 and is now one the few non-native executives thriving in the German Music Industry.
Throughout her 12-years career in music & culture she has worked on global YouTube strategies and marketing campaigns for artists such as Rammstein, Max Richter and Daniel Barenboim.
Her passion for music started in preschool, leading her to the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, as one of the youngest musicians in the Opening Ceremonies. After her graduation, it was crystal clear that that passion had to evolve into her career. She studied Marketing & Communications at the Athens University of Economics and Business and then she gained a MSc in Business Administration from Humboldt University Berlin.
Katerina began her professional life in Digital Sales at Universal Music Group in Berlin. She soon grew into her responsibilities and stepped up to build UMG’s YouTube Business Strategy for Germany and Central Europe, hiring & running a team of digital experts.
In 2017 she changed sides and moved to YouTube/Google, taking over their Strategic Business Partnerships with the Music Industry. In this new role, she supported the launch of YouTube’s music streaming service across Europe. She also worked with labels, management companies & artists to build long-lasting relationships that lead to artists’ success on YouTube. Known as an incredible and enthusiastic mentor for artists and music professionals, both in Germany and Greece, Katerina’s passion and determination shine as the Greek sun in Berlin.
