Maria Louka is a documentary filmmaker and writer. She has worked as screenwriter and editor-in-chief for many documentaries and tv programms. In 2023 she completed the documentary “Greef for those who remain”(documentary award at Berlin Greek Film Festival & Peloponissos Film festival). Survivors, in which she’s co- directing with Nina Maria Pasxalidou is her second film.

She has written three theatrical performances. In 2021 her first novel was published. She has also participated as a writer in five books. She has given many public talks on gender issues and human rights. Currently she’s project coordinator at Eteron Institute
