From policy to practice: Supporting music SMEs in a changing ecosystem

Part of the SONIC Interreg Europe project (Strategic Opportunities for New Innovative Changes in Music Policies), this session brings together local stakeholders to explore the realities shaping the music ecosystem in Athens and Greece. Focusing on SMEs and small-scale actors across the value chain, from labels and venues to producers and entrepreneurs, the discussion looks at key challenges that policy instruments can better support, including access to funding, infrastructure, AI and digital transformation, and internationalisation.

Hosted within Athens Music Week, the session also connects local perspectives with international networks and professionals, creating space for exchange, comparison and collaboration.

A focused discussion that links market realities with policy thinking, aiming to better understand what is needed to support more sustainable and connected music ecosystems.
