The future of mobility of artists – How to ensure more sustainable and fair international circulation of artists?

Sustainability and Solidarity in the Music Industry: Addressing Ecological Challenges for Artists’ Mobility in Europe. The climate crisis is now part of our daily life and has impacts on the cultural and artistic events we are organising. How can the music sector tackle those issues in order to both reduce its carbon impact and ensure the continued circulation of musicians to support artistic diversity? This panel will discuss the challenges faced in achieving sustainability in the music sector, and the importance of solidarity in addressing ecological issues, with a focus on Greece. The speakers will explore how we can collaborate to be more sustainable at a European level and the challenges faced by specific territories in terms of the mobility of artists.
